Kristine Barilli is rewriting the rulebook on the #sidehustle. When the talented New York City-based DJ isn’t playing records for downtown clubgoers, she’s sketching designs for her own fashion line, The Sphinx World, in the Meatpacking district. As if that’s not enough, she consults as a music supervisor for big names like Stella Artois, HBO, and Audi. The best part? All of her varied career paths grew out of casual hobbies and a love for music.
Born and raised in Long Island, Barilli was inspired by the iconic club CBGB’s and 1970’s glam rock, but those are just a few of the influences behind her colorful 10,000+ vinyl collection. Her insane array of records has earned her international cred—she’s performed in spots like Amsterdam and Tokyo, with Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney jamming along in the crowd. NBD.
Kristine is continuously adding her unique sound and style to the New York art and music scene. Find her DJing in downtown Manhattan every week, sifting through record cabinets at record stores, or rocking her favorite custom-made dress with the clown lining.
